 Wishes for food for Christmas (& for the days until Jan 1st)
The only food pantry that services my area (zip code 35244) is out of food until January. Someone donated $9.14 (after paypal fees) and that just covered lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes and pears.... Not much of a dinner for Christmas. But Thank You to the person that donated that much. It helps, I won't ever forget your kindness.
I was hoping someone would give enough so I could buy some kind of meat, though. Turkey would have been wonderful, but I guess it's probably too late though. I still keep calling the local food pantries, but nobody will see me because I'm in the wrong zip code. That's so crazy!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. Be thankful for every bite you eat this year. It's tough here in Alabama. A lot of people are going hungry just because they live in the wrong zip codes. Even the big food distributor for pantries (the famous one) hasn't been able to give me a place to go to for help, but they cant' give food out directly. It's so crazy to know the food is there but I just live in the wrong zip code to be able to get it. I'm just wishing that the food pantries rethink their way of distributing food. There are hungry people in the suburbs too! Someone needs to help us!
