Exclamation How to post wishes

I've noticed that some of our newer Members post their wishes in "big chunks of words". It looks like one run-on sentence that is 20 rows long... No periods, no beginning or end. No breaks in between thoughts and no paragraphs.

Please understand that I would be the last person ever expecting a perfect, spelling mistake-free, punctuation-correct post. The spell-check is my best friend; I make mistakes all the time as English is my second language.

The reason I'm bringing this up is simple:

If a person comes by your wish, and all they see is one sentence without any visual breaks, BELIEVE me... they will not read it. It is very difficult to read. They will just move on to the next wish. (We often go over the post very quickly to see if we can help.)

On average, within 24h period we have around 600 people visit Tree of Wishes. That number is growing. We have a huge number of posts every day. (we are very happy about that)

If your post is just a mess of words bunched together it is DIFFICULT to read. Regretfully, we are a fast living generation, we want it now, and we want it easy.

So take a moment and make your posts EASY to read. You will get better responses and the wishes will be granted, because they are being read. It truly is as simple as that.

So:
Feel free to make it as long as you need to, but include a
-Short introduction
-Problem explanation
-Reasons for your need
-Paragraphs with white space between them, to make it easier on the reader
-No children's full names in general posts (specify if boy/girl & how old) -safety reasons
-No last names or addresses in general posts -safety reasons

Hope this helps a bit, after all we are here to make those wishes come true!
HUGS

Default Re: How to post wishes

Few things I like to add.

IMPORTANT:

Please give Your wish a relative title:

If Your wish is about a computer parts, relevant title will be "Wish for computer parts".
Please don't put a titles like: "Help", "Please Read!!!" etc. Search engines like Google will never index those wishes in search results, giving You a lesser chance for someone to come across it. Same goes for using all CAPS.

I have to edit at least one or two a day, so please: this is for Your benefit.

Last one: please start Your wish with a capital letter.

Thank You
