Wishing someone can help them

I found the web address for this site during my search for help and figured it was worth a try. My wish is for help for a newborn preemie boy who almost couldn't come home. My brother lost his job in the printing room of the local newspaper when it quit printing locally and then was sold. A short time after he found out his girlfriend was almost 6 months pregnant. Due to their financial situation , and the baby arriving a month early, they had only bought 1 tshirt, 1 bottle and 1 blanket for their baby. He has been trying to find a job, but it has been hard since they have no vehicle and not much is near by them. His unemployment isn't covering their bills. His girlfriend's hours were cut down to 5 and a half hours a week do to cutbacks and the fact that she was pregnant. They ended up staying in the hospital an extra 8 hours because the baby could not be released without a car seat. Luckily I was able to reach the kid-safe program who is sponsored by DPS and they were given one. It's not the carrier type, but does serve it's purpose and is one prayer answered.
But they are still in need of most everything from formula to a crib. they need a stroller to go places, and clothing to dress him, and all other items. The nurse gave them enough formula to get through the weekend. She has called WIC and food stamps and set up appointments for both. They do have a little income so they don't count as emergency.I didn't pay my rent yet so I could get them another bottle, baby water and detergent, alcohol and petroleum jelly and such to last a few days at least. I have posted on craigslist and freecycle but have had no luck. She had made a baby registry at walmart for her baby shower which is suppose to be May 8, 2010. The invite list is only about 15 people, and 5 already said they can't make it. Neither of them come from a big family. So I don't expect them to get much at the shower. Some of the people show up empty handed to everything.
The sad part is my brother has always been everyone elses savior in their time of need. Those who want to help don't have the means and others just won't be bothered.
