Default Dear Daughter "With Love From My Kitchen" Recipe Keeper

I am wishing for a recipe keeper type book, I have been doing a project for my daughter for a couple years now. I have been collecting recipes for her from friends and family. I plan on giving her this book on her wedding day.

Thanks everyone. My daughter is only four right now, like I said before I have only been doing this for a couple of years, but I hope to continue collecting recipes for her for years to come, then giving her the special gift on her wedding day. I hope it will be something very special to her. I decided to start doing this for her so early for several different reasons, but the number one reason was her great grandmother which she was very close to got very ill, and I got a few recipes from her then a few months later she passed away. To me its kinda like having a piece of history, even if its only family, then maybe she can add to it over the years and if she has a daughter or granddaughter she can pass it on.

Yes, all the recipes I got from her great grandmother will be in the book I give her, as well as my sisters favorite recipes that passed a few years back. Any recipes that I have recieved from family and close friends will be in the book. Usually every Christmas I send out recipe cards in the christmas cards explaining what I am doing for her. I truly hope she cherishes this recipe book

I still like to idea of the recipe keeper; but after giving it some more thought; if anyone could help me get these items I could just make her a scrapbook cookbook; that way I think it would be kind of more from the heart

-Scrapbook
-Scrapbook Paper
-Glue Stick
-Recipe Cards
-Stickers (Kitchen, Cooking, Family, Memories, Alphabet etc.)
-and anything else would be appreciated that has something to do with cooking

Thanks

What we did for my stepson was take an ordinary 3 ring binder with the clear pockets on the front and spine. We made a custom insert for both the front sleeve and the spine. We used the clear 3 ring sheet protectors to slide the recipes in and put those in the binder. We also made pictures of the dishes as we cooked them to add in with the recipes. This way you can add new ones over the years....just a thought. He absolutely loved it and adds his own as he discovers new recipes that he enjoys.
