My goodness, samples! I have asked the doctors office, their associate office, called the help line. Nobody can tell me where I could get samples successfully. I was under the impression doctors office received all types of brands formula. Prehaps they need to ASK for the "special" stuff!!! Would make things a lot easier if even just a few sample cans were available.

I am watching two auctions from the same seller right now. They have powdered cans in lots of 6 cans per auction. These are the cans that sell for $30 each in stores. Their auctions (both) are going right now for $73 with shipping. That would be like paying for two and half cans and getting the other 3 and half free. There is 45 minutes left on one auction and one hour on their other auction. Maybe I could grab one of these ones!?!? These work out to be more formula than the auction I just tried for. The one I lost she would have used 3-4 cans per day since they are small cansm make two bottles a can. So it would have been roughly 5 day supply. I can't believe that expensive for so short a time! ![]() These two auctions I am watching now with 6 larger cans per auction would last longer. One large can would last roughly 3 days each one. Giving enough to go through 2 weeks at least. 6 of these cans in the store would cost in the $180 ballpark. |

| They say special formula requests have to go through their main headquarters for the higher ups to approve or deny a claim for them. I personally think it is all about the cost of these different formulas and the fact WIC gets rebates/deals from the simple standard formulas. If a client needs certain brand, they lose the rebate/bonus or deal they are given for that member/client. What gets me is during the time frame in limbo waiting, what is it they expect the person needing that formula for their baby do. If someone is getting WIC it is because they are in the income bracket of needing help...why make it so difficult!?!? It's not like we ourselves requested changes, they were deemed medically necessary by the doctor! |

Those two for 6 cans powder each are ending soon. One ends in 8 minutes and the other in 21 minutes. Both going for under $75 each with shipping. Retail cost of these would be $180 How I wish the supply of money was endless and all needs would always be met! Decisions, decisions. At least, if I don't bid/win these I do have enough to get two cans in the store in the morning.

I went this morning and bought two cans for her. I didn't realize these cans were a little smaller than standard cans. They really do jip you..make you pay double and give less!!! How wonderful is that!?!? NOT!!! We will have enough for 4 or 5 days, thank you so much Believer! If anyone else can help in any way, I would appreciate it. I am on my own cost wise until I get approval from the higher ups at WIC. If they deny, I then have to file through insurance company! Fun stuff! Have a great day everyone! |

| I have been looking high and low for discounts on this stuff. I found three awesome deals from three seperate people. All of them are out of state and will have to be shipped but, even with shipping costs, it is still a TON cheaper than the store prices. First offer they have (4) cases of 6 packs for sale. They are asking $25 for ALL FOUR CASES!!! That in itself is huge! This is paying like $1 per can, there is 24 cans total! Buying these in the store would be a ton more!! Shipping will be $10 for a total of $35 for 4 cases!!! Next person has an UNBELIEVABLE DEAL!!! She has (7) cases of 6 packs AND 1 quart size ready to feed. The cans, there is a total of 42 cans and then the additional quart bottle. Selling ALL of this for ONLY $20 plus shipping. She is going to get a shipping quote tomorrow and let me know. Buying from her, I would be paying only for ONE case and getting 6 CASES AND a Quart FREE compared to store!!! The last person I found selling these cheap they've got 12 quart sized ready to feed bottles. They are asking $40 for all 12 quarts plus shipping. She also is going to check shipping prices for me tomorrow. This one, in the stores I would only be able to get 3 tops of the quart size. So I'd essentially be getting 9 quarts free buying these. These are all great deals, ones I wish I had the money to jump all over. I can not believe how expensive these sell for. I was hoping maybe someone out there could help me get one or all of these great deals!!!! The woman in the first section that has 4 cases of 6 packs, I have her mailing information to mail $35 to her. She also has my mailing information already. The other two women have paypal accounts but, I am waiting to find out how much shipping will be for each one. Shipping can't be that expensive, even if it is another $20 on top of their formula price, it is still way better than going to the store and buying some. They all know I am going to bust butt to try to get the money together to grab these lots. All were willing to wait a few days but, not long. Please if you can, help me get these deeply discounted lots of formula. I would really appreciate it. Anyone who can help, I can give you the mailing information for the one lady and when I get total costs with shipping on the others, I can give you their direct paypal account email addresses so that all/any payments can be made directly to the sellers. This way you will know for sure formula is indeed being bought and sent to me for my princess. Thank you for your consideration. Last edited by mom2be2010; Jul 18, 2010 at 06:07 PM. Thank you for your prayers! I appreciate them! She is doing about the same. I did get two cans of the new formula. Still too early to tell if this is the right/last switch. I sure hope so! Tomorrow is her first specialist appointment. Cross your fingers for me. I know she is NOT going to appreciate these tests tomorrow. I am a bundle of nerves, trying to relax but it is soo hard to do. I don't like situations I have no control over, they make me uneasy |

I called and emailed the makers of the formula to see if they'd be able to assist with sample cans. Could you believe they wouldn't!?!? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, I haven't had great luck with any of this since the start. They suggested I sign up online at strongmoms for samples. Well, I did this while pregnant AND after having the baby and have not gotten so much as a coupon from signing up Ruffles my tail feathers looking online for cheaper formula when I find a person with a TON of sample cans SELLING them! ![]() ![]() They got them at no cost, why not pass them on to someone else at no cost since it isn't/didn't cost them a thing |
